I co-founded Penji in 2015 at UC Davis. It is a B2B SaaS platform for higher education: scheduling, communications, and a CRM for tutoring and advising centers at colleges and universities.
Penji taught me how to build a best-in-class product (4.9 stars on the App Store, 95% annual retention) and how to sell.We grew it to 100+ schools, including Duke, Johns Hopkins, Vanderbilt, Rutgers, Georgia, CU Boulder, and Utah.

02Oil wells
In April 2026 I became a non-operating partner in two oil wells in Creek County, Oklahoma. 7.35% working interest across both.
Two wells, twenty feet apart on the same pad. The first showed oil sheen on the mud pits, bright fluorescence under UV, and gas readings the operator considered exceptional. The second well was spudded before the rig demobed.

Allen Wrench is a shop management system and texting CRM for independent auto repair shops. The incumbents charge $500+ a month for bloated software. Allen Wrench is a simple, effective tool that does everything shop owners actually need.
Founding shops are live across Tulsa. The goal is unglamorous and specific: become the default operating system for the independent shop.
